Citrus Juicer
The citrus juicer is used to turn the solid form of citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, and more into a juice which is loaded with vitamins and minerals that are great for your health. The citrus juicer comes in many different forms, from manual juicers to electric juicers which both have their pros and cons. For example, the manual citrus juicer can be used at your own pace so you control the amount of pressure or force that is used to squeeze the juice from the fruit. However, it is sometimes said that the citrus juicer is harder to use because it is difficult to continuously press and squeeze the fruit and can be somewhat tiresome. The electric citrus juicer is often said to be more convenient because it requires less physical exertion and is capable of squeezing more juice in a shorter amount of time. The flip side of this argument is that the electric citrus juicer is sometimes said to be over powering and can be a bit wasteful because more juice can be extracted from the fruit than actually gets extracted.
So how does a citrus juicer work? The manual citrus juicer is just that, a manual juicer. The juicing power comes completely from the person that is using it so there is no electric power to do the work for you. The citrus juicer can either be found in the crank style or the press style, both of which work very well. The crank style allows the fruit to be fed into a container where it is then passed though a press where the juice is extracted into a container at the very bottom. The press style citrus juicer is a plate style juicer with a cone shaped structure in the middle on which the fruit is pressed. While the fruit is being pressed onto the cone shaped structure, the juice from the fruit runs into the dish until there is no longer any remaining juice in the fruit.
What are the benefits of the juice that comes from citrus fruit? There are many benefits. For example, the juice that comes from oranges is filled with vitamin C, potassium, thiamin, phosphorus G, folic acid, and vitamin B6. Two be more precise, one 8 ounce glass contains almost 25 percent of the recommended diet based on a 2000 calorie diet. Orange juice contains more nutrients than most other juices like apple juice, grape juice, and prune juice because of it's density when compared to the rest. The best way to drink the juice is when it is 100% juice so beware of those that are not 100% juice as they often contain added sugar and have less nutrients. One caution with orange juice is that it does contain acid so if it is drunk on an empty stomach, it may cause a stomach ache and can exacerbate present gastro-intestinal conditions.
The citrus juicer is one of the most widely used citrus juicers on the market and has become very popular with the health benefits of juice becoming more and more know. There are many different types of juicers available so be sure to find the one that you will enjoy the most based on your preferences. Whether you choose a manual juicer or an electric juicer, you'll be sure to enjoy the rich, vitamin and mineral filled joyfulness of juice.

Black & Decker CJ525 CitrusMate Plus Citrus Juicer
A lot of the other juicers tire out your wrists way before you have enough juice to bat an eye it, but not this one. Thiis juicer is really easy to use and I'm amazed at how much juice it makes and it doesn't put any strain on my wrists. I can go through quite a few oranges and not get tired at all. The picher is great too because I can squeeze the juice and place it directly in the refridgerator without having to dirty any other dishes. I'll definitly recommend this product to anyone that is considering buying it.

This juicer is great and I love the fact that the juicer tray and the motor are separated so cleaning is a sinch. It's small and compact so it is really easy to store and hardly takes up any room in the cupboard. I've actually done all kinds of fruits in this citrus juicer. Oranges, lemon, grapefruit, and more. This juicer gets all of the juice out of the fruit so when you are done, the fruit is almost completely dry. Compared to other juicers, I'd say this one of the best.

Oster 3186 Juice-n-Serve 27-Ounce Automatic Citrus Juicer
This juicer, although a little less powerful than some of the other juicers, works great and is really easy to use. The light and compact design makes it super easy to move around and it isn't bulky and heavy like some of the others. This citrus juicer is very good at juicing oranges so there is no problem with that at all. I wanted the electric juicer because I have weak wrists so it is hard for me to put a lot of pressure on the fruit like the manual juicers require.

We had tons of oranges this year and I absolutely had to get as many done as I could. We were able to go through buckets of oranges with this juicer and got through them in no time. The juice came out perfect and it didn't seem like we missed a drop because the fruit came out just about completely dry.
